Tanya was also seen at the Hollywood Bowl with Rhonda Ross-Kendrick, opening up for Rhonda's mother, Diana Ross. Ms. Fitzgerald appears as a guest for radio stations across the nation including Bay Area based, KFAX Radio in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tanya Fitzgerald musical gifts were presented on a global tour in the Philippines which allowed her to sing before audiences with over 5k in attendance nightly! Still Tanya's heart remains with her faithful following in San Jose, CA where she was born and raised. Ms. Fitzgerald opened the Gospel Stage at the San Jose Summer Fest in 2019. Tanya Fitzgerald is the Founder and Executive Director of Zāmar Schoolhouse Project, Inc; a non-profit organization (NPO) created to foster the creative talents and ambitions of young learners within a strategically designed creative arts program. Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, Zāmar provides a comprehensive and structured course of study in the three core creative disciplines - dance, instrumental music, and vocal music. In addition to Fitzgerald's NPO, she formed a scholarship Southwestern Community Collegee's Education Foundation, The Tanya Fitzgerald's Voicebox Diversirty Award. The scholarship is awarded to students matriculating as music performance majors in the School for Music Vocations where Tanya was the first black student to graduate the vigorous music program.

She has tastefully infused her sultry and rich jazz vocals with musical messages of love, peace, comfort, joy, healing, and salvation.
While recording her freshman project, "Tanya Fitzgerald Live; From Glory To Glory", Tanya's father, Bishop Terry Fitzgerald, lay in an ICU fighting for his life. Despite all efforts to see his complete healing on this side of heaven, "Pastor Terry" triumphed to glory.
This new single, "I Am Yours" is the first song Tanya composed following her late father's passing. The single serves a raw, melodic testimonial as the lyrics give listeners a look into Tanya's personal journey through the mourning process. Never has Tanya written, recorded, and released a more personal work. Listeners will love the bossa nova feel, and the acoustic approach to this track. "I Am Yours" serves as a preview to Tanya's highly anticipated sophomore album to be released at the end of the 2016 year. San Jose Jazz Summer Fest, formerly known as the San Jose Jazz Festival, is illustrative of the Silicon Valley start-up spirit. The first San Jose Jazz Festival took place in 1990 over two days in August at the Plaza de César Chavez. It has been a couple of decades since the popular music festival has hosted artists on its Gospel stage. In celebration of hitting the 30 year mark, the Gospel stage returns as a gift to the community as there is no charge to enjoy the live music presented there. Tanya was fresh out of high school the first time she appeared at the festival. The Gospel stage was presented twice and Tanya was included with featured choirs each year. “Had you told me then that I’d return to the festival as a featured artist on the Gospel stage, I would have laughed in your face" says, Miss Fitzgerald. "I just could not see beyond being a background vocalist or jazz soloist. I am humbled!"
Accompanying Fitzgerald are Juan Zamora (keys), Eric Garcia (bass), Myles Martin (drums), Malakai Trujillo (guitar), Lorianna Gardere (vocals), and Timeka Michele (vocals). This dynamic team of musicians and singers will present Tanya’s original music along with some of your favorite gospel tunes. Tanya will kick-off the festival’s FREE GOSPEL STAGE at Noon!

7 Days to show compassion (April 5th - April 11th)
We have all been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is completely normal to experience feelings of anxiety and fear of the unknown. Folks, fear is faith's enemy. We have to turn our hearts and shift our focus towards meeting the needs of others. So, Tanya is challenging you to show extraordinary compassion to others over the next seven days (4/5th - 4/11th).
Guide to Giving:
'For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
Some Ideas:
#IWasHungry - Grocery runs for an elderly person in your community or someone who is classified as vulnerable.
#IWasThirsty - E-mail a gift card to Starbucks to an essential worker
#IWasAStranger - Recently, Tanya opened her home to a travel nurse. Maybe bless a medical professional in your own way?
#INeededClothes - People are celebrating their birthdays at home. Consider sending an e-gift card for an online boutique or department store their way.
#IWasSick - Give blood
#IWasInPrison - A monetrary contribution in suport of re-entry services.
These are just a few ideas. Give it like you feel it, authentically and compassionately. Hey, get your kids involved too. Remember you can always make a charitable contribution to a non-profit organization without ever leaving your home.
