SESAC songwriter and Buckinchute Music recording artist Tom Perkins is a performer who writes and plays country music with a freshness of the present with his feet unapologetically planted in its roots. Whether he’s playing an Eric Church song, a Merle Haggard classic, or one his own originals, Tom paints pictures with his music that communicates the various shades of color, beauty and hard livin that is “country”.

Besides writing songs for his own album Country Soul, Tom has also written songs with and for Rob Snyder (Dark Horse), Chancey Williams (Let Me In), Kevin Jackson (Gonna Wanna) Cody Riley (Devil Smiles produced by Wade Bowen) and Matt Willis (Different Kind of Wild). Tom writes and sings songs that take you to a point in time and space that encourages you to just listen, and smell, and feel the story that unfolds. Whether that story makes you want to drink, or cry or dance, Tom’s images show both the darker and the lighter sides of human’s coping with life….sometimes in the same song.
