Wanda Jae is a singer, songwriter, who performs with unmatched skills. A Kansas City, KS native, Jae’s musical journey is inspired by real life experiences. Wanda uses music as a form of therapy and has the ability to grasp from every genre, particularly rooted in gospel, and soul.
2011 was Wanda's breakout year in the profession which makes her an 11-year veteran of the Kansas City music scene. Wanda Jae joined forces with Funk Syndicate (of Kansas City) in August 2012 and continued with them until 2015. In January 2016, she formed her own band, branding it "Wanda Jae & The Grind". Jae's versatility has enabled her to open up for artists such as the Little River band, Ringo Star, and the Irish sensation band The Elders. She has also contributed vocals on shows for LeVelle, the R&B group Brownstone, and International Blues singer Kelley Hunt.
Wanda Jae has been described as an energetic well-rounded musician, whose stage presence is an uncanny experience. The no holds bar attitude in music sets her apart from the rest. She is often recognized by her efforts to bring soul back into today’s R&B and Neo-Soul music. Her single "Heart on the Run" was released in 2016, and she is currently working on various upcoming projects.
