Avarice is currently a three piece band based out of Detroit Michigan. Their sound has evolved from basic hard rock found on their first album (released October 23, 2009) to an up in your face solid wall of rhythmic energy. Their debut CD release party sold the venue out to capacity. Soon after, Avarice became associated with the local movement "GANGABANG" and performed a prime slot to a sold out crowd at the CROFOOT BALLROOM during the first annual GANGABANG show. After several member changes and touring southeast Michigan, they mastered their craft and found the chemistry needed to take their music to the next level.

We've found our guy!
Wolf, most well known for being the bass player of the Detroit band, The Infatuations, has joined AVARICE. We're glad to have him aboard and excited to write with him in the time to come.
He recorded his bass tracks for the new album, and it will be sent out for publishing very soon!
Summer is close, and we plan to play as much as possible. Keep your eyes and ears open. Tour dates to come!
We regret to inform everyone that Sean Robertson has left the band. He left on good terms for personal reasons, and we wish him the best. For the past few months we've had Mark Michalik fill in on bass but he too could not fill the shoes for long. We are now on the look out for a permanent bass player.
If you know anyone or would like to audition yourself, please contact us at thebandavarice@gmail.com, or find us on facebook and message us!
We will still be planning on releasing the album in the spring (2013) and have "fill-in" bass player friends so we can continue to play and tour.
The world didn't end in 2012, but who knows, Maybe 2013? :-)
It's taken quite a large amount of time, but we're in the home stretch! We have rough mixes for all the songs and I'm going to begin recording vocals this Sunday! This is the first musical project we've worked on that began creating itself and has exceeded our expectations! I can't wait for you to hear it.
