Charlie Silva has been playing the Drums since the 6th grade when he entered into his Middle School Band Program. After completing High School, Charlie went to Berklee College of Music where he just finished his Music Education Degree in Fall of 2010. Due to Charlie's excellent professionalism and teaching skills, he has been nominated amongst his teachers at Berklee to receive a Student Teaching Award. While Charlie was at Berklee he studied under some of the Music Industries top educators and performers, including Mike Mangini.
Charlie in February of 09' created a band No Room to Breathe with musicians he found online. Since the origin, the band has opened for some of the top Bands in the industry. On July 31 2010, No Room to Breathe opened for the Carnival of Madness Tour in Wiscasset, ME. Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, Sevendust, Chevelle and 10 years were the nationals on this tour. At this amazing concert, their was an estimated 15,000 people in attendance. Since then No Room to Breathe has opened for Sevendust again in Fitchburg, MA. They have also opened for Nonpoint, In this Moment and Taking Dawn at the Webster Theater in Hartford, Conn. to a sold out show.
In rewards to Charlie's and No Room to Breathe's hard work, they are a go to band for New England Concerts, which is one of the companies that books National Bands in New England. Charlie is also proud to be endorsed by Silverfox Drumsticks and uses the Fat Boys model exclusively for No Room to Breathe. He loves the feel of the sticks and the extreme durability that Silverfox offers due to a special thin, clear coat they put on their sticks that make their quality superior to all other drum sticks brands on the planet.
