DarkWater Redemption plays “Southern Music”
They recently released their debut EP and their single, “Boots” has been played in several markets across the country thanks to a budding working relationship/ friendship with John Sanders of AMC's "The Walking Dead.”
Sanders discovered DarkWater Redemption playing at Zac Browns bar, "Southern Ground Social Club" in Senoia, GA. John was so impressed with their performance and with their original material, he exchanged information with the band and a few months later, DWR began recording their first EP at none other than Southern Ground Studios in Atlanta, GA. (The studio is located in the basement of Zac Browns home in Smyrna, GA.) DarkWater Redemption’s EP was engineered by Southern Ground's Dan Dixon and Produced by Sanders.
DarkWater Redemption tours as a cover band as well. They play a wide variety of favorites with an arsenal of music spanning from Southern Rock, Country, Rock, Blues and Bluegrass.
They can do things with instruments that other band simply can't duplicate. Their rendition of “Dueling Banjo’s” is a must see.
DWR has played from Nashville, TN to Martha's Vineyard, MA to Zac Brown's "Southern Ground Social Club" in Senoia, GA to Orlando, FL
They were recently nominated for a Carolina Music award for "Best Country Band" 2014, have released their debut EP and completed studio work on their a full length album. The LP should be out by early summer!
2015 is going to be a great year.
We completed our Album at one of the souths most legendary studios , Chase park Transduction in Athens,GA!
It was surreal to record in the same room as REM,Queens of the Stone Age and Drive by Truckers! The album is being mastered as we speak and will be released on CD and Vinyl
Hoping to have an early summer release!
We are heading back to GA to finish our Full album! We will also be working with John Sanders of the Walking Dead to film a promo video at Tavern on 74th and Southern Ground Social Club!
"Hailing from Stoneville, NC (Population 1,042) comes barroom rock n’ roll warriors DarkWater Redemption. A band thriving in the glorious histories and sonic traditions of Alabama, Allman Brothers, Skynyrd, Daniels and in Southern Country rockin step with contemporary righteousness of Chris Stapleton, Zac Brown Band and Shooter Jennings, DWR are already making a mark on their local music scene with their blended sounds and with a nomination for Best Country Band at The Carolina Music Awards. Not bad for a new-ish band.
If the band CAN stay clear of the trending bro-country movement expect to see these good ole boys go national States Side soon enough. Have a listen to these two tracks and decide for yourself." -TGTC

I have been working with the musicians from Dark Water Redemption for over four years now and can attest that they are true professionals who take their music and all aspects surrounding it very seriously. It is a pleasure to work with musicians who are prompt, reliable, respectful and fun in all facets of the business. They understand my clientele base and can interact with anyone from all walks of life. They do not think they are above anyone and spend plenty of time before and after each gig making sure anyone who wants to discuss something with them gets that opportunity. Above everything else they are fantastic musicians who create a buzz every time they hit the stage, and create an atmosphere where people enjoy themselves and keep coming back to my club.

The guys were phenomenal! They were very polite and friendly. We even had an 85 year old relative go up and request that they play Rocky Top. So we know that they were highly approachable. We thoroughly enjoyed their music. We had at least half of our attendees dancing most of the time, including my 86 year old uncle who is not into country music. Melissa and Joey and I danced and sang the night away. I hope that they make it big soon!
I was sorry that I did not get to tell them how great they were personally. Things got hectic after Melissa and Joey left, and I did not get to tell them goodbye. They did give me a little shout out that we were fun to work with. I would highly recommend them to anybody. You are welcome to pass my email along to them.
Best regards,
Mary
DarkWater Redemption was absolutely fantastic at our wedding - we had SO many people come up to us to tell them how talented they were and how great the music selection was. I had sent them a list with many of the songs we would like to hear, and they were able to play everything we had picked out or that was in the genre we preferred. They were able to do an acoustic version of a certain song (Sweet Child O'Mine) for the slow-dance with my dad, and they played and sang it beautifully.
It was raining earlier in the day on our wedding, but the band arrived early to assess their setup location and discuss details with us about what would happen should it still be raining when the reception began. They ended up setting up their equipment a little further in on the deck, and further underneath the tent. Luckily, it stopped raining by the time they started playing - so it worked out perfectly. The band members were all super, super friendly, and were able to work out many of the setup details with my stepfather in-law (who is also in a band) - so it was great for them to have that in common.
All in all - FANTASTIC - could not have asked for a better experience!
Thank you all so much for everything and for making my wedding day perfect.
Sincerely,
Michelle
Just wanted to let you know how the party went yesterday with Darkwater
Redemption. Exactly at 1:00 the boys started their set and amazed everyone
who was there. They by far were the best band we've ever booked for one of
our events (and we've booked A LOT of bands). The musicianship alone was
second to none and every song they played had the crowd singing right along.
The amount of audio they brought forced the band next door to have to stop
playing. Though it was only a small graduation party these guys made it feel
like a concert. I can't tell you how many times I've yelled 'free bird' at a
band party with no avail except until yesterday, and it was probably the
coolest moment we've had on the lawn. I can't wait to have them back again
next semester. Thank you again for hooking us up with these guys, cause they
were just flat out amazing.

Darkwater Redemption did such an amazing job at our wedding. All of our guest really enjoyed their musical talents during the ceremony and cocktail hour. They played songs everyone enjoyed and even got a couple line dancing. Looking over the video I was very pleased with their performance, I just wish Kevin and I got to enjoy them longer since we were taking pictures during the cocktail hour.
All of the members were very polite and dressed well. We are very happy with their services and would highly recommend them.
Thank You for all your help.
Have a great Summer,
