As a curator of the Portland Hip-Hop scene, DJ Klyph uses platforms to represent the under-represented. For the last 10 years he's promoted and supported the scene on radio via the Welcome to the Neighborhood radio show [currently airing on XRAY FM Portland], the Klyph Notes podcast, the monthly hip hop showcase Mic Check PDX and various local events including the Portland Institute of Contemporary Arts' Time Based Art Festival.

With the return of lyrical and conscious music to the mainstream, Klyph is continually optimistic for the art form that was once labeled a fad and excited for future generations embrace of the culture.
