Kareem Brinson, known as DJ Reem "Spark of the Jersey Shore" was born on Valentine's Day 1985, in Neptune, New Jersey. DJ Reem says that his mother is his greatest musical influence. Through her, he learned about different genres of music early on, saying she had a great collection of music.
While in high school, he sold the latest mix tapes out his locker. He was an honors student everyone in town knew who he was. He was DJ Reem, the one with the homemade studio at his house. During high school he was also involved in football and track, which taught him how to be sociable.
Although he attended Morgan State University and studied business management, his passion for music and to entertain is what made him become a DJ. He describes himself as a renaissance DJ, he spins at clubs, baby showers, weddings, formal balls, concerts and even corporate events.
DJ Reem is versatile with his music he loves to spin without a format and just flow in and out of the music. He believes that if takes skill and experience to learn how to play fora crowd. "It's like doing homework, i learn who i'm playing for and the kind of music they'll be in to."
