D.M. Street are an original ska band based in Cornwall, South West UK. The band was originally founded by ex Ska'd For Life member Andy Keys Clark. Andy is best known from his time in original UK ska band Ska'd For Life, writing the band's debut hit single "Street Life" which acheived city chart success in Belgium. Andy has released 5 solo albums on a smaller independent basis including "Ska Blood From A Heart Of Soul" & "The Prophecy". Andy then teamed up with guitarist and ex member of rock band A New Hope, Nathan Funnell, to start the original songwriting process, along with the band's first drummer Tony Wright from The Mighty Offbeats (who also produced the band's first original studio track "Lifeline"). Tony's time in the band was brief due to other band commitment. The next recruit was front man singer/guitarist and ex member of original indie/mod band Yellowstone, John Hutchens. John now also contributes writing new original songs. The band was next joined by trumpet player Tracey Underwood and saxophone player Marcus Alfred, both with a history of previous proffessional bands. The band next recruited their second bass player John Wright, who also has previous band history including indie outfit Boho Road. The final member to join is the band's third drummer Sammy Downing, previously the drummer of original indie rock band Grip Like Vice. This has completed the line up and saw D.M. Street play their first festival gig at Alstock Festival 2017 in Bodmin, Cornwall, and reuturned in 2019 to play the main stage. The band are currently playing a mix of both covers and originals, and are currently writing more new songs focusing on their original set with a debut album in mind. D.M. Street play 2Tone style ska & reggae put together with dynamic vocal harmonies. The band play both covers and original songs with a few surprises thrown in for good measure. D.M. Street supported Madness via MIS at the House Of Fun 2018 and are also included on the 2019 Specialized Teenage Cancer Trust charity album celebrating 40 years of 2Tone.
