Heavy Bass artists Joel and Jeremy Putnam from Clemson SC, have been producing electronic music since 2009 under the alias DYS (pronounced like an acronym) with styles pulling influence from genres such as Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Rock, Trap, & Moombahton. Starting out jamming on guitars and drums, their sound is defined by the firm belief in telling a story and sending you on a musical journey that uses whirling rhythms and intricate synths to guide you. The primary creative force behind DYS is Jeremy Putnam. He manipulates the arrangements and pushes sound design to the outer edges of his capabilities and puts 100% of his efforts toward continuously improving and pushing the barriers for each and every song. Working primarily behind the scenes, Joel Putnam takes his role as the mixing and mastering engineer to the next level by using every resource in order to assist in the creation process. Creative mixing and post production media compliance are his main objectives along with being the driving technical force that keeps DYS at the forefront of technology. The brotherly duo has made waves with huge remixes of both Desiigner - Panda and Galantis - No Money along with their debut EP “Ghost Town” that signifies their contribution to the wildly diverse EDM scene. Heavy hitters for the southeast’s most extensive EDM Artist Collective HPOD Presents: DYS has lead the way with a dynamic live set jam packed with high energy tracks and original sounds. Always letting the music guide them and adhering to their ethos, “Excellence from beginning to end,” ensures that they are here to stay and nothing can hold them back.
