Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Evan Carr grew up with a strong appreciation and love for music. Always surrounding himself with music whether it was musical theatre, playing live shows for his neighbors, or going to any concert in the city regardless of how big or small. It wasn’t until he was 13 that he began recording his own music.
At 16, Evan released his debut single “It’s Okay to Fall in Love” in January of 2019. Shortly after, he released his first EP “X-XXVII” that Spring. Across 2019, Evan had 6 releases; 1 YouTube exclusive, 4 singles, and a 3 track EP. It was the beginning of 2020 where he began to make a change. Instead of having a year crowded with several releases, he reassessed and refocused. This culminated to his best release yet, his hit single “Falling For You” released August 28th, 2020 - which quickly caught the attention of new listeners due to his diverse vocals and genuine style.
This sparked a new style and a new journey for Evan. At the end of 2020, he removed 6 of his 8 available songs from all streaming platforms to revamp his style and career. He decided that it was time to start taking music seriously. A known advocate for mental health struggles, Evan has made a point to use his talents to fight against the negative stigma associated with people struggling with their mental health. Since releasing his single “Falling For You” Evan has kept busy with collaborative projects such as Preston Eggert’s EP “numb” as well as live shows and interviews in North Texas and Northern California.
