Heather’s career began at age 2, recording a Christmas duet with her dad Bill, a leading Country Music morning radio personality in Cincinnati, instantly producing a year on year commercial hit.
Singing and dancing from the start, Heather landed roles in professional Musical Theater as a child and by the age of eight, Heather was the opening act for country singer Aaron Tippin at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, one of the world’s largest outdoor music festivals, where she received standing ovations and rave reviews. Heather asked Aaron to sign the star with her name on it from her dressing room door. He did…but only after he took down his own star and had Heather autograph it for him.
Despite growing up immersed in the country music world, as a teenager Heather explored all genres and fell in love with Pop and Dance. Her musical education continued as Heather moved to Nashville with her family, which later led to graduating as a Commercial Vocal Music Major at Belmont University
Heather started working in Nashville as a demo singer where she fronted tracks that gained the attention and interest of award winning multi million selling writers and producers such as Michael Garvin (J-Lo), Annie Roboff (Don Henley, Faith Hill) and Peter Collins (Bon Jovi, Rush).
Armed with original songs driven by her unique sound and a strong concept, in late 2010 Heather started work co-writing the album project The Boyfriend Obituaries with British writer/producer Adam Bard and Swedish writer/producers Roland Billberg & Jan Akesson. Due for Global release in October 2011 The Boyfriend Obituaries will see Heather Whyte launched into the rarefied atmosphere populated by Katy Perry, Britney Spears and the like, hard-wired to her generation, delivering instant hits of her time.
