Jones and the Crew ist eine internationale Besetzung aus Spanien, Mozambique und Deutschland um die Sängerin Txako Jones aus Sevilla!
Ihren Weg zum Blues fand Txako über ein paar Umwege. In den 90ern startete sie zunächst in der Metal Szene um dann über Rock, Motown, Funk und Jazz ihre blaue Seele zu entdecken.
Mit „Blues de Bellota“ tourte sie durch ganz Spanien und spielte hunderte Konzerte auf Festivals und in Clubs. Ihr Name sprach sich schnell herum und so zog sie nach London, wo sie mit diversen Künstlern (Tony Rémy, Justin Stephenson) zusammenarbeitete und mit der in England sehr erfolgreichen Band „Big Girl Blues Band“ tourte, mit der sie auch immer noch hin und wieder spielt.
Zurück in Spanien begann Txako als Gesangslehrerin in ihrem eigenen Studio und als Backgroundsängerin zu arbeiten. Sie zog für eine kurze Zeit nach Berlin, wo sie in den örtlichen Blues Clubs einschlug wie eine Bombe.
Txako lernte Jan Hirte auf einem Festival in Spanien kennen wo sie mit der „Kid Carlos Band“ spielte und 2022 beschlossen die beiden zusammenzuarbeiten.
Die richtigen Kollegen waren schnell gefunden. Matthias Falkenau an der Hammond und am Klavier ist ein langjähriger Gefährte von Jan Hirte und mit Carlos Dalelane am Schlagzeug war der richtige „Groove Guru“ mit an Bord. Alle drei haben langjährige Erfahrung als Begleitmusiker internationaler Blues Stars, haben eigene Bands, spielen weltweit Konzerte und sammelten schon etliche Awards!
Wie in einem klassischen Orgel Trio wird der Bass von der Hammond gespielt und so fehlt nichts um einen gelungen Blues Abend zu genießen. Es darf getanzt werden!
Im Herbst 2023 erscheint die EP „Soulful“ bei „Berlin Blue Records“ und für den Frühling und Sommer 2024 sind Tourneen in Deutschland, Schweiz, Polen geplant!

“Jones and the Crew” is an international cast from Spain, Mozambique and Germany around the singer Txako Jones from Seville!
Txako found her way to the blues via a few detours. In the 90s she started out in the metal scene and then discovered her blue soul through rock, Motown, funk and jazz. With “Blues de Bellota” she toured all over Spain and played hundreds of concerts at festivals and clubs. Her name quickly got around and so she moved to London, where she worked with various artists (Tony Rémy, Justin Stephenson) and toured with the band “Big Girl Blues Band”, which was very successful in England and with whom she still travels every now and then.
Back in Spain, Txako started working as a singing teacher in her own studio and as a background singer. She moved to Berlin for a short time, where she hit the local blues clubs like a bomb.
Txako met Jan Hirte at a festival in Spain where she played with the “Kid Carlos Band” and in 2022 the two decided to work together. The right colleagues were quickly found. Matthias Falkenau on the Hammond and piano is a long-time companion of Jan Hirte and Carlos Dalelane on drums was the real “groove guru” on board. All of them have a long time experience playing with international Blues Stars all over the world and won several awards for their work!
Like in a classic organ trio, the bass is played by the Hammond and so nothing is missing to enjoy a delightful blues evening. You can dance!! The EP “Soulful” will be released on “Berlin Blue Records” in autumn 2023 and tours in Germany, Switzerland and Poland are planned for spring and summer 2024!
