K-VICTORIA
(Kmisha-Victoria Counts)
Welcome to the world of K-Victoria… Mysterious…yet immensely Uplifting, Entertaining and Inspiring. KVICTORIA’s octave range and generation transcending lyrics are profoundly enhanced by her spectacular presence. Upbeat, free and empowering are often echoed at a K-VICTORIA performance; but it’s the Wow Factor, her powerful aura and the strength of that scintillating voice that makes her special.
K-VICTORIA’s singing and songwriting style features R&B with soul, reggae, and pop influences. She has the smooth soulfulness of Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, and Aaliyah. K-VICTORIA emerged on the international scene in China in 2005, at the Ms. World Pageant, where she was a semi-finalist and winner of the Talent segment. Her rendition of Whitney Houston’s, “I’ll Always Love You” was flawless and inspired many to tears; as captured the following day on the cover of several international newspaper.
A 2009 music management graduate of Berklee College of Music, K-VICTORIA is daughter of an American father and Caribbean mother, and hails from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. She claims that her multicultural mix of African American and Caribbean heritage help to craft subtle artistic influences reflected in her music.
K-VICTORIA has habitually achieved winning accolades for her singing talents. She has been performing since the age of three years old and received early professional instruction at the Virgin Islands Institute of Performing Arts. Her training included voice, dance, piano, acting; and numerous memorable stage performances at the Reichhold Center for the Arts. Most recognized was her Starfest performance where she received extravagant standing ovations at multiple shows. K-VICTORIA has performed twice at the Apollo Theater in New York, was a Caribbean Talented Teen Winner, a Hal Jackson Talented Teen Winner and winner of numerous other talent and academia competitions.
K-VICTORIA opened for music greats such as Wyclef Jean, Maxi Priest, Gyptian, and several more. As an independent artist singer/songwriter, K-VICTORIA has released several original singles, “In Your Eyes”, “Concoction”, “Baby Only You”, “Feel the Love”, and the soul hit "Apology" which was featured on the VEVO Official R&B Playlist with Ciara, Chris Brown, Ravaugn, and The Weekend. Her music videos "Baby Only You" "Concoction" "Apology" "Feel The Love" have been on rotation on the TEMPO Networks CROSS CARIBBEAN COUNTDOWN; where "Feel the Love" retired at the #1 spot after holding it for 3 weeks in a row. "Baby Only You" music video debuted at #2 on the TEMPO Cross Caribbean Countdown and remained on the countdown for 15 weeks.
K-VICTORIA is currently located in Los Angeles, California.
In February 2017 she debuted the single of her 2017 album project entitled "In Your Eyes"; which is produced by Benny Demus, Akon's official DJ, NOW AVAILABLE on TIDAL, iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.
K-VICTORIA accepted film accolades for her lead role in the independent film "Timeless" which was nominated in March of 2017 for Best Feature in the 2017 Pan African Film Festival, in Los Angeles, CA. K-VICTORIA anchors this Caribbean film with a pitch-perfect, emotionally charged, yet unbelievably natural performance as a corrupt, narcissistic socialite Senator and head of the US Virgin Islands Legislature. Her dazzling portrayal effectively communicates the complicated emotions, cultural and political pressures of a powerful island woman desiring love. There wasn’t a moment in this film that the viewer didn’t feel an authentic and powerhouse relationship with K-VICTORIA.
On July 7th, 2017 K-Victoria launched her merchandising line entitled: Mind.Life.Guap. "It's a culture line to provide merchandise for fans that they will buy" says K-Victoria. The merchandise centers on fashion apparel. "Get your mind right, get your life right, then get your money right. In that order." is how K-Victoria often represents the brand.
In 2019, Kmisha creatively took a new turn in the form of a dark horse, expressing her passionate, often comedic admiration for male trap hip-hop artists with a mixtape called PSYCHO - the female version of her heros. "INFORMER" the remix to "REMINDER" from the weekend are the first singles off of the PSYCHO mixtape.
K-Victoria has released a single and video for her catchy single "Boundaries" released in 2021.
In 2022, she released a powerful Pop/R&B project called World Bound, proposing an internationally fresh sound.

"Our main industry is tourism so I can see how gaining exposure as an artist will be a benefit - and I love that. If I can do that with my music, my videos, my opportunities, then I would have done a great thing."
The articulate 24 year-old, versatile in most genres of music - from R & B and reggae to soul and pop - is part of a group of young and promising independent musicians, songwriters, producers, and artists called "The Ink" and "Out Da Box Music Group", who have independently collaborated with names such as Sean Kingston, Iyaz, Trina, Alison Hinds, and Honorebel.
A graduate in music business management from Berklee College of Music, K-Victoria is no "one-hit wonder" and in addition to writing and singing, she brings both business skills and a sense of responsibility to her music. "I personally feel a responsibility and I have a boundary that I am not interested in crossing," K-Victoria reasons. "People who collaborate with me musically will have to understand that."
But she warns that the world is changing and children are exposed to many "grown up" things, especially on television. So "it is the responsibility of not only parents, but also the community to censor or not allow the youth to see or listen to (tasteless lyrics)."
"I just pray to God I can do my best and do what He would want me to do as a vessel. I am always growing, and at the end of the day, I can never promise to be a perfect person because I'm human. But in my music I can promise to be honest. I will never sing about something I don't believe in," she pledged.
K-Victoria looks up to her mother as a role model, admiring her character and integrity, while her father's drive to get things done inspires her. Musically, she admires Buju Banton, Rachelle Ferrel, Aaliah, Lauryn Hill, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Alison Hinds and Pressure Buss Pipe of the US Virgin Islands.
In addition to seeking more time learning from the likes of Alison Hinds, the Virgin Islander has a vision to be a dominate player in the music industry and touch lives in a positive way. But that's not enough. She wants to spread into other lanes of entertainment. "I've always enjoyed writing plays, movie scripting also ... I've acted in musicals since I was three. There's just so much I want to do and as long as nothing's stopping me I will aim to do it."

“K-Victoria Music and Fashion”
“Launched at the 8th Annual Fashionista in the USVI”
The beauty and tranquility of the United States Virgin Islands (USVI) was the backdrop for a rare and awesome showcase of one of its very own. K-Victoria, hailing from St. Thomas, USVI, was the wow factor in a weekend of spectacular moments at the 8th Annual Fashionista events, on St. Thomas July 7-9th.
The awe-inspiring moments for K-Victoria included her K-Vic Lucky #7 Musical Event on Friday, July 7th, where she released seven (7) songs and featured other cultural USVI artists and performances. “Music is a powerful means of socializing people. It bridges cultural divides and has long been a catalyst for identity and expression like no other,” stated K-Victoria. “We want to positively showcase the robust musical talent that U.S. Virgin Islands’ artists have to offer,” K-Victoria continued.
The fabulous continued as K-Victoria was the featured musical artist at the Entertainment, Model and Designer Competition on Saturday night at the MCM Center (St. Thomas). Her performance of the song and new release “Royalty” was stylishly enhanced as models fashioned “Kyng” and “Kween” t-shirts from Mind Life Guap (K-Victoria’s new fashion apparel line which was being launched at the same time during this performance). The Kyng shirts are black with gold lettering vertical across the chest. While the Kween shirts feature two feminine styles both are black with gold lettering, one with spaghetti straps and the other a long, slender and traditional style. The 8th Annual Fashionista event was the crown jewel and showcase of the weekend, as models and designers from across the US and the Caribbean presented their amazing flare of gowns and fashion. K-Victoria was again marvelous, as the featured music entertainment for the evening; and along with DJ Simba dazzled the crowd with renditions of her new songs. Her gown for the evening was a free flowing white (need a good description of the gown), and designed by (need the info for the designer).
Rare and awesome moments continued as K-Victoria adorned this lovely, free flowing gown on the beach for a Rare Magazine fashion photo shoot on beautiful Magen’s Bay in St. Thomas. “This whole promotion has been an incredible experience,” said K-Victoria, “to showcase the launch of my new music and fashion apparel, along with a Rare Magazine photo shoot is simply awesome,” concluded K-Victoria. All promotions were sponsored by the USVI Department of Tourism.
This R&B signer songwriter/independent artist features soulful island music with hints of pop and hip hop. K-Victoria music is mysterious, yet immensely uplifting, entertaining and inspiring. Her octave range and generation transcending lyrics are profoundly enhanced by her spectacular presence. Upbeat, free and empowering are often echoed at a K-VICTORIA performance; but it’s the wow factor, her powerful aura, style, fashion and the strength of that scintillating voice that makes her rare and special.
