We started this project in June 2011. We developed the main ideas and the concept till January 2012 when we had the opening exhibition and experimental Performance at the Brazil House in the center of Accra-Ghana (James Town).

The first exhibition which was done in January 2012 in Accra Ghana brought together these artists led by the Spanish artist ZIreJa who worked for 2 months around various concepts in an experimental performance and exhibition. For one month the exhibition stayed open with workshops exploring the different ‘nets’ in our lives. The workshop activities included contemporary African dance led by amazing dancer Nti Yaw, member of the Noyam Institute in Ghana, Music and sounds led by Kyekeyku; sound artist and musician in Ghanaian traditional music and rhythms. Visual Arts, Painting and installations led by the Foundation for Contemporary Arts in Ghana and the Japanese artist Maki Kawamoto- poet, musician, dancer and choreographer.

IMN Exhibition 2013 was supported by Institut Francaise, French Embassy, Alliance Francaise Accra, Accra[dot]Alt, FCA, and all wonderful people around us!

InsidethemosKitoNet is a project born in Accra, Ghana, in June, 2011 taking the “mosquito net” as a concept to express through the photography and the body.

After that we have developed the concept of the mosquito net through the different nets that we have all over our lives (even the ones which we could have at our minds).

A group of artists from GhanA, JapaN and SpaiN join together to develop this idea and to work with the mosquito net as a methaphor to express with photography, painting, music, dance, video performances, theatre and another art representations what the society and the human being hide across their “mosKitoNet”, inside the mosquito net, outside the mosquito net…

We decided to work mainly with waste material and contemporary artists to promote them nowadays when the world economic context, the problems with the environmental sustainability, and the difficulties to export arts from Afrika are very important tasks to work with.

These artists were exploring around this concept for two months and after that we showed all the work done in an Experimental Performance and Exhibition in Accra, Ghana in January 2012. This exhibition were set for one month and every weekend after the opening we did workshops with the artists involved in the project, trying always to explore the different nets that we have in our lives.

Some of the workshops were in Contemporary African dance lead by Yaw from Noyam Institute in Ghana, Music and sounds lead by Kyekyeku professional guitar player in Ghanaian traditional music and rhythms, Painting and Arts lead by the Foundation of Contemporary Arts in Ghana and poetry lead by Japanese artist Maki Kawamoto.

From that, we have continued researching and collaborating in different art festivals in Ghana, and now we are also promoting the concept with artists all over the world.

Our main idea is to make nets between the artists from this Project with artists all over the world and to develop an art program to show the work done by these artists in Ghana and also to concern about the environmental problems in Accra and the cities we work with.

We do exhibitions, performances, dance, video creations, photography, music show, workshops and documentaries with the main concepts: waste material, contemporary arts, body as a tool to express, education system, program obsolescence and workshops…

重松壮一郎さんのピアノに衝撃と涙が走った去年から、こうして縁をいただいて共演できたことに本当に感謝しています。

会場とさせていただいたハライソ珈琲さんの、なんとも言えない素敵な波動がとても気持ち良く。なんだか不思議の国に住んでしまったかのような錯覚に。
暗めの照明に、香織さんの素敵なキャンドル。深海の蒼をイメージして。またさらに眠ってしまうそうな気持ちよさになったところに、重松さんの奏でるピアノの音色がすべりこむ。そこにいたそれぞれの命が、一人ずつ航海を始めたような。
フラダンスの千春さんがゆっくりと足を踏み出す。眠りから覚めたような、命。
生きるということの儚さと強さを彼女の体から感じる。
その喜びをもって、私はベールに身を包んで静かに階段を降りた。
預かっていた貝を耳に当てて、重松さんの音色を聴いていると様々な想いが蘇り
涙が溢れそうになって、予定していたストーリーが全て吹き飛んだ。
完全なる即興舞踊となる。重松さんの波動が、その美しい音色が私を解放してくれる。
悲しみと痛みがあるからこそ、わたしはこの喜びと光を伝えたいと思い、それが私の舞の原動力になっていた。途中で起こる全てのハプニングもまた、人生そのもののように受け入れていく。自然と溶け合うということ。

この海月の夢という大海原を航海する素敵な船。またそれぞれの旅の末、どこかに辿り着いて共鳴したいと願いを込めながら。

There are so many things in this world we don’t know until we see by our own eyes.

カフェ・アフリカ。
昨日はガーナの水・環境問題をベースに、様々な現状をお話させていただきました。教育の大切さ・人々の意識・発展に伴って変化していくべきこと、寄付によって衰退する伝統技術、電気中古製品の行方、鉱山採掘による地下資源の汚染・・・様々なことが実はしっかりとわたしたちと繋がっている問題なのです。

お話を通して皆様とまた繋がる、このような素晴らしい機会に本当に感謝しています。

第一部はウガンダのお話をしてくださったJacob Ssenkumbaさん(English 4U語学学校、国際サロン代表)、第二部はギニアのお話をしてくださった中川 千草 (龍谷大学農学部 講師)さん共に、とても貴重で興味深いお話をいただきました！
文化芸術や大自然が素晴らしい魅力のアフリカですが、実際の現地のお話を聞いてみると、ぐっとアフリカ大陸が近く感じます。是非またの機会にお話を聞きにきてみてくださいね★

それが個々の問題でもあるけれど、世界の問題でもあって
ちょうど世界が少し　男性性に支配されすぎてしまったように？
女性性をみんなが心の奥で欲しているけど　何から手をつけてよいのかわからないみたいに？

だから、世界を想うのなら、まずは自分のバランスを振り返ること
そこからしか何もはじまらず
そんな愛の深さや尊さや、、脆さや悲しさや、、光をたくさん
感じながら、みなさんと共におりました

そして　誰かを愛した　愛して　と叫ぶよりも
まず　わたし自身が　愛　ですか
と　いつも問いかけたくて
それが　わたしの思う　愛であったりして
光でもあるわけで

Many times I had to hold my tears.
When the moment mens are hugging each other, I was really touched and felt I wanted to see this view so badly since long time.
