The Slowcial is a family friendly mid-morning music event that focuses on art, movement, and community building. We host our event monthly at Refuge Pdx.We took a break in September and are excited to be back for our October edition.
Our Feature Event at this months Slowcial will be a costume exchange/swap. Let's all help each other look awesome this Halloween. Bring an item or two that you no longer use, and take something new (to you) home just in time for halloween.
We will be painting the first projection of "The Deepest Dream" this month. After each Slowcial take a picture of the community canvas and run it through various Deep Dream filters. At the following Slowcial we project, and community paint, the deep dream image onto the canvas and repeat the process in the following months. We hope that this will give everyone a chance to express their creativity, and also create a one of a kind image.
