Mojo Power is a Funk & Groove Band that blends Funk, Blues, Psychedelic Rock, & Real Hip-Hop into an Experience not to be missed.
Our goal is to make people feel the groove, and dance to the music.
When you go see live music. You are sharing energy with the musicians on stage, as much as the musicians are sharing energy with you, in the crowd. When you come to a Mojo Power show, you should feel excited, safe, and happy. We ask that the fans (Power People), and patrons of our shows hold themselves to a higher standard than a regular crowd.
Be Kind to everyone. ( The world is a much nicer place to be when people act right.)
Respect people’s space. ( Dance, but be aware of the people around you.)
If your idea of a good time hurts someone else. You are a problem, not the life of the party.
No hard drugs! ( We don’t want that vibe at our shows. The crowd is safer, and better off without that element.)
Know your limits! ( If 4 drink Bob\Linda is fun, but 5 drink Bob\Linda likes to fight. Bob\Linda shouldn’t have 5 drinks.)
Men: Be a Gentlemen. Be classy. Treat women like you would your mother or grandmother. Women will not be subjected to usage of the “B” word.
Real Hip-Hop does not propagate ignorance, violence, or selling your soul for money. Nor does it exploit people. We have an extensive vocabulary, and intend to use it. You will never hear the “N” word from us. That ugliness is not welcomed from the band, nor the patrons of our shows.
We hold ourselves to a higher standard, and expect the same high standard from our fans. Together we can make a fun, safe, environment to get your groove on.
Mojo Power creatively blends original music with an eclectic choice of favorites. Utilizing musical improvisations, as well as freestyle lyrical segments, with a live DJ that make each live experience unique.
