The alternative project which took shape as The Peculiar was formed in Toronto in the autumn of 2012 by David Chidekel, drummer, and Henri McGuire, vocals/guitar. In the following months they recruited Michael 'British' Marshall, bassist, to bridge the gap between David's precise rhythmic style and Henri's eclectic guitars and vocals. As full compositions began to develop the band expanded again in February of 2013. Jason 'Kato' Burgos brought his expertise as a guitarist and in production to the band and, with Xavia Bailey (XMJ Productions & Pink Distortion Music), helped to produce The Peculiar's first demos. Now, in November 2017 The Peculiar are excited to release their first full-length album.
