RoofTop Melodies: A Unique Blend of Craftsmanship and Harmony
From the high peaks of residential roofs to the high notes of their catchy tunes, RoofTop Melodies isn't your typical band. Formed in 2020, this group of talented musicians didn't meet at a music school or open mic night, but on the rooftops of the homes they were repairing.
Comprised of lead vocalist and roofer Jack 'Shingle' McCall, guitarist and slate specialist Ethan 'Ridge' O'Reilly, bassist and tile expert Michael 'Valley' Armstrong, and drummer and metal roof maven Samuel 'Gutter' Washington, RoofTop Melodies is a band unlike any other.
Their love for music was discovered quite by accident when they found themselves humming and singing to the rhythm of their work, creating an impromptu melody that echoed off the rooftops. This sparked an idea: why not blend their love for their craft with their passion for music?
RoofTop Melodies' songs are inspired by their everyday experiences - the rhythm of a hammer, the melody of a well-placed tile, the harmony of a job well done. Their music genre is a fusion of rock and country, echoing their hardworking ethos and camaraderie.
Since their formation, RoofTop Melodies has performed at various local festivals, charity events, and even on top of the roofs they've repaired. Their debut album, 'Shingle Serenade', has been well received in the local music scene, resonating with audiences for its heartfelt lyrics and energetic beats.
