Tides Of Ire are a Metal/Nu Metal band from Kent, United Kingdom. The band was formed in March of 2015 by Aidan Jee (Lead Guitars), Leonardo Ozorio (Drums), Sam Alldridge (Bass), Matt Kateley (Rhythm Guitars) and Mark Wills (Vocals). As a full band Tides Of Ire spent it's first year writing songs and rehearsing. Once the band had a solid set it started playing local gigs and brought a different music style of what other local bands were doing and by that started catching the attention of the local promoters and got invited to play more gigs around Kent. In October 2016 Aidan Jee decided to leave the band for personal reasons and was replaced by James Daniel Harper who was chosen after learning half of the set in the first try out. Other good candidates had opportunities as well but James technical skills were what the band was looking for and within a month the band was back at playing local gigs. In the beginning of 2017 Tides Of Ire participated in Metal 2 The Masses which is a battle of the bands for a place to play the famous Bloodstock Festival and also had the opportunity to play in a Fest with Crazytown. In May of 2017 the band signed a deal with Deadwave Records for promoting and distributing their first EP entitled The Burning Sea which contains 3 songs, December Nights, Extraction and their first single Repent Replenish. In June of 2018 the band released through Deadwave Records their second EP entitled Deadline containing 6 songs, Deadline, Fleshwound, Tension, Release, At The Gates and Ashes.
The band takes influence from a broad selection of artists, including Gojira, Machine Head, Rage Against The Machine, Limp Bizkit. The end product being a hard-hitting combination of pacey vocals and technical riffs. Now the band is expanding it's boundaries by playing gigs in London and further away from Kent.
