Unpaved Highway’s “Rock ‘n’ Road” music crafts a musical landscape where an acoustic sound is entwined with deeply emotional, poetic rock music. Hailing from San Diego, the trio’s music draws on artists stretching from John Mellencamp to Nirvana and modern bands from Cage the Elephant to Mumford and Sons. Unpaved Highway writes songs that tell stories inspired by their connections with fans and infused with their own personal experience.
Our second full-length album, Seven Bridges, releases on August 23, 2024. From the epic fade-in of Foresight to the touching fade-out of Thank You, the journey of our rock star's cross-country drive and arrival home has unexpected twists and turns. The album features our special mixture of acoustic and electric modern folk rock. Although it is a concept album meant to be listed in sequence from beginning to end, it includes hit songs such as the title track Seven Bridges and surprising tracks such as Unsheltered (supporting efforts to end homelessness).
Our first full-length album, Mile Marker One, was released on August 6, 2021, as the culmination of a multi-year project of EP releases. Behind the Wheel, released 6/11/21, is the third of the original set that was slated for release in 2020 but delayed due to COVID closures. It highlights the first full-band recording of “Hung in Custody” and the long-anticipated recordings of “Diamonds in Style,” a marriage proposal, “It’s All Happening,” a 70’s style dance track and NASCAR-inspired “9000 RPM.” Breaking Down Walls, released 5/24/19, included the international hit “Back at Home,” dedicated to the men and women of our armed forces and their families waiting for them back at home. Released in December 2018, the debut “Fragments of My Life” EP highlights Unpaved Highway’s anthemic rock ‘n’ road style, acoustic underpinnings and bluesy roots.
