Nicole Marie Acree (born September 21, 1992), known professionally as Aaliyah Nicole, is a multi-gifted artist from Chicago, Illinois.
Aaliyah Nicole grew up as a pastor's kid. She started singing in her church's junior choir at three years old; she began writing at the early age of 10, and by 12, she knew she wanted a career in entertainment.
Growing up Aaliyah Nicole was a 'DIE-HARD' Aaliyah fan. Because of her borderline obsession over the late singer, friends nicknamed her Nicole Aaliyah. At 17, looking to change her stage name from Slick Nic[k], another childhood nickname, to something more universally appealing, she revisited the previous moniker and with a twist, she ultimately became Aaliyah Nicole.
Aaliyah Nicole released several songs and multiple-track projects on Myspace, SoundCloud and Youtube before the release of her professional debut EP, "Journal Entries of the Payoff" in 2017.
Aaliyah Nicole has opened for Raheem DeVaughn, Curt Chambers, and famous violinist Ken Ford. She has also participated as a spoken word artist in two productions spearheaded by the late Tommy Ford (Martin-TV Show). After a three-year musical hiatus, Aaliyah Nicole returned on a mission in 2020, taking full control of her career and releasing new music written, produced, mixed, and mastered by herself. Her latest EP, Same Ol' Me is available on all major music streaming platforms!
Aside from music, the 2015 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Clark Atlanta University has collectively garnered over millions of views on Facebook. Although it was mostly her hilarious "I'm Concerned" reaction videos that grew her Facebook platform from 3,500 to over 40,000 followers, in just a little over a year, Aaliyah Nicole is committed to be seen as more than just "another Facebook comedian", which is why she continues to work hard and show her versatility in this broad world of entertainment.
