Max Benson is an in demand bassist (electric, upright, and synth) based in Los Angeles. Born in New York City and raised in Chicago, Max has performed all over the country and the world (including Europe and Asia) with a wide variety of different artists and bands. Since getting his first professional gig at the age of nineteen he has played countless club dates, recording sessions, tours and weddings and corporate events. He has worked with Linda Perry, LÉON, Noah Cyrus, Bay Ledges, Half the Animal, Hudson Thames, Anabel Englund, Maggie Lindemann, composer/pianist Rob Mullins, singer/actress Sarah Carter, singer/actor Elyes Gabel, Nick Waterhouse (Innovative Leisure), jazz pianist Bobby Pierce, Jamie Lono (The Voice) upcoming independent artists Madeline Spooner and FLAVIA, and many more. Notable performances include performing live on TV with Daniel Joyner and Jayna Brown on America's Got Talent, a season in the top 40 band at Six Flags Magic Mountain, a 6 month residency in the house band at Club REME in Xiamen, China, 7 week residency in Zermatt, Switzerland with Chicago Mike Beck (independent), playing live on ABC 7 news, WGN news (twice), opening for Grammy award winning band Los Lonely Boys, and winning 1st place at a national Battle of the Bands at Summerfest in Milwaukee. He got his Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Performance from Chicago's Roosevelt University in 2012.
